If you're cruising down the Surigao-Davao Coastal Road and find yourself in the picturesque City of Mati, make sure to take a delightful detour to Home Brew Cafe by Quality Bread. This charming cafe, nestled in Barangay Dahican, Martinez Subdivision, offers not just a meal but an experience that you will cherish.

The atmosphere here is welcoming and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a quick coffee break or a leisurely dining session. Picture yourself settling into their comfortable seating, surrounded by a clean and relaxed environment that invites you to unwind. Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying some quiet time, the ambiance is a comforting blend of homely and modern.

The menu at Home Brew Cafe features an assortment of dishes, though it really shines with its rich coffee that many customers rave about, and some standout items like the spaghetti and blueberry cheesecake. Anne, one pleased patron, left a glowing review after savoring their spaghetti, praising everything from the pasta to the sauce and its beautiful plating. If you're in the mood for something sweet, the blueberry cheesecake is a must-try with its well-balanced flavor and smooth texture that leaves a lasting impression.

However, it's worth noting that not all dishes met the expectations of every guest. While the spaghetti won hearts, some found the halohalo to be a bit watery, and feedback regarding the American burger was mixed due to a surprising mayonnaise flavor. Yet, the overall experiences shared by customers suggest that the delightful coffee and friendly service often overshadow these minor hiccups.

The crew at Home Brew Cafe adds to the charm of the place with their helpfulness and service, making your visit a pleasant one. Whether you request assistance or just want to enjoy your meal in peace, they seem dedicated to making your time enjoyable. Keep in mind, however, that during peak hours, the cafe can become a bit cramped, and the sounds from the nearby highway might disrupt the serene vibe.

For those who value a good internet connection while enjoying their meals, many reviews indicate a decent WiFi signal, which adds to the cafe's appeal for those wishing to work or browse while sipping their favorite brew.

Overall, Home Brew Cafe by Quality Bread presents a delightful option for locals and travelers alike. Embrace the inviting atmosphere, indulge in their delicious offerings, and enjoy the attentive service. Just be prepared for a lively scene during busy times, and you’re likely to have a memorable stop on your journey through Davao Oriental.

Ordered spaghetti and halo-halo. I LOVE their spaghetti — from the pasta to the sauce and even the plating. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ However, the halo-halo was NOT that creamy and was VERY watery. It even spilled on my table when they served it. They will give you white sugar to adjust the taste to your liking, but I hoped they added more cream or milk. I did not enjoy their halo-halo. ⭐⭐ only

The food here is great, especially their fries and coffee. The crew was very helpful during our visit and took care of us every time we asked for assistance. The only thing I don't like here is the space, which makes the place too cramped, especially during peak hours. The sounds of the vehicles are too loud considering it's in front of the highway. Still, a good experience though. The staff were amazing too.

The place is cozy, relaxing, and impeccably clean , perfect for a comfortable stop. The coffee is rich and flavorful, and the blueberry cheesecake is a standout, with a well-balanced taste and smooth texture that’s definitely worth trying. However, the American burger fell short of expectations. I was expecting a barbecue-style flavor but was surprised to find mayonnaise instead. The patty also had a slightly oriental twist, which might not appeal to those looking for a more classic Western flavor. Overall, it’s a highly recommended stopover for a refreshing break during a long ride.

Nice place. Very good coffee. Service is good although sometimes they don't clear the tables when bringing new drinks or food. Food quality is ok, there are times when they don't have particular items and it's slow when busy. WiFi is a bit slow.
